Alice Cenac Steinkampf, 96, a native of Houma and resident of Birmingham, Ala., died Tuesday, April 10, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by two sons, William Steinkampf Jr. of Amman, Jordan, and Michael Steinkampf of Birmingham; seven grandchildren, Audris Steinkampf Hancock of Houston, Gretchen Steinkampf Plotner of Boston, and Lisa, Michelle, Jessica, Amy and Christopher Steinkampf, all of Birmingham; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Hancock and Mason Plotner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Steinkampf; her parents, Paul and Clothilde Klingman Cenac; and two sisters, Delphine Cenac Matherne and Jeanne Cenac.
She was a graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing Class of 1932. She was a dedicated nurse, wife, mother and grandmother.
