Bert Joseph Chauvin Jr.

Bert Joseph Chauvin Jr., 58, a native of Houma and resident of Gray, died at 8:18 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. He is survived by his wife, Tanya Billgren Chauvin of Gray; his parents, Bert Joseph Chauvin Sr. and Alice Worden Chauvin of Houma; two sons, Bert Jameson Chauvin and wife, Jennifer, and Joshua Ryan Chauvin of Baton Rouge; two brothers, John Louis Chauvin and James Patrick Chauvin of Houma; one sister, Angela C. Cicero of Houma; and two grandchildren, Kaylin Elise Chauvin and Reid Jameson Chauvin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, N.C. and Alice Aitkens Worden, and Louis J. and Mable Engeron Chauvin. He was a self-employed machinist with Totco Machine and a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. He was a member of the Krewe of Houmas and was a great and loving husband, friend, wonderful daddy and Pa Pa.
