Eugene Guidry

Eugene "Gene" Charles Guidry, 77, a native of Morgan City, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Sunday, February 20, 2011. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday, February 25, 2011 at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by wife, Ledora Pennison Guidry, Houma, LA son, Kevin C. Guidry and wife Holly B. Guidry, Houma, LA, grandchildren, Kristen Guidry Gautreaux and husband Jonathan Gautreaux and Kerry M. Guidry, sister, Genevieve "Gen" Price, Morgan City, LA. He was preceded in death by parents, Eugene Charles Guidry, Sr. and Emily Gros Guidry, brothers, Emile "Lou" Guidry, Sr. and David Guidry, Sr. He was a member of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Welding Society, National Welding Supply Distributors Association and South Central Industrial Association. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Terrebonne Childrens Advocacy Center.
