Alberta Carrere Smith, 76, a native of Dulac, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Thursday, February 17, 2011. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 9:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 11:00am Mass Time with Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. She is survived by Daughters: Claudette Ledet Voss and husband Vaughn Voss of Bourg LA Kim Ledet Kavvadi and husband P. Kavvadi of Houma LA Darlene Ledet of Houma LA and Marlene Ledet of Houma LA Grandchildren:7 Great Grandchildren:4 and Step Great Grandchildren:2 She was preceded in death by Parents: Bernard Carrere Louise Pellegrin Carrere Sisters: Stella Blanchard Gertrude Hebert Brothers: Stelay Carrere and Anthony Carrere.
