Edward Messick

Edward Bennett Messick, Jr., 85 of Mandeville, La died Saturday February 12, 2011. Edward was a U.S. Navy Veteran frm 19446-1946. His passion was baseball nd maintained a .500 batting average while serving in the U.S.Navy. Edward retired with 32 years of serfice in 1986 as an electronic's engineer for the United States Government Federal Aviation Air Communication. Edward was a native of Marksville, LA and was survived by his 5 children,Becky Maestri, Gary Messick, Melba Fields, Camme Miller, and Bruce Messick; brother, Alvin Messick, sister, Peggy Messick Hamilton, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was the son of the late Edward Bennett Messick, Sr., and Anne Bordelon Messick of Marksville, LA and the brother of one late sister, Lilly Glodt. Visitation will be from on at and from 8:00 AM until Service time on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10:30 AM with at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
