Joseph Albert Trahan, Sr., 89, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Monday, February 7, 2011 at 7:30 PM. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 11:00 Am until Service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Services will be Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. Survived by: Wife of 68 years: Doris Guillot Trahan; Children: Joseph "Jay" Trahan, Jr and wife Tori Knox Trahan, Jim Trahan and wife Rebecca Glover Trahan, Susan Ann Tuttle and husband Jim Tuttle, Danny Trahan and wife Phyl Marmande Trahan, Ronnie Trahan and wife Cindy McCready Trahan, and Kathy Trahan Achee; 19 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-great Grandchildren, and sister: Rita Trahan Bourgeois and husband Lester Bourgeois. Preceded in death by: Parents: Joseph Trahan and Florence Chauvin Trahan Brothers: Noble Trahan, Berwick Trahan and Charles Trahan Sisters: Della Guidry, Margie de la Bretonne and Janice Trahan He was employed with Terrebonne General Medical Center. Joseph was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
