William Gordon

William “Uncle Bill” Gordon, Sr., 76, a long time resident of Bayou black and a native of Missouri was called home on Monday, January 31, 2011. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Diane Gautreaux Gordon, his sons, William “Billy”, Jr., Brian, Joe and Blake Barnett Gordon. His daughters Cindy Petty, Sherri Moore and Angel Wolfertz, one sister, Kay Haney and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers. Uncle Bill was a very loving man and was loved by all who knew him. He was retired from a life of welding and inspecting in the oil field industry. He was an avid outdoorsman, his favorite hobby was fishing. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Special thanks to all who helped and cared for him especially the doctors, nurses and aids at Terrebonne General Medical Center and FMC Dialysis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home.
