Leonard Joseph Belanger, 65, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011. He was a native of Bourg, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial following at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Judy Chauvin Belanger, Chauvin, LA, son, Lynn Anthony Belanger, Sr. and wife Jamie Robichaux Belanger, Chauvin, LA, daughters, Shannon Marie Belanger Breaux and husband Paul Breaux, Montegut, LA, Michelle Ann Belanger, Metairie, LA, grandchildren, Collin Michael Breaux, Kayli Michelle Breaux, Colton John Breaux, Jenna Lynn Belanger, Lynn Anthony Belanger, Jr., and brothers, Linwood Belanger, Sr., Royce Belanger and Wayne Belanger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell Joseph Belanger, Jr. and Aramay Bellanger Belanger and brothers, Ralph Belanger and James Belanger. He retired from Exxon as a Field Maintenance Foreman and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #5013, Chauvin. He liked to fish and enjoyed being with his friends. The family would like to thank Saint Joseph Hospice of Thibodaux and to all the friends and family for their prayers and support.
