Michael Jude Callahan

Michael Jude Callahan, 49, a native and resident of Houma, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Faye Dover Callahan of Houma; his mother, Barbara Scott Callahan of Houma; one daughter, Michelle C. Eschete and husband, Joel, of Houma; two brothers, Shane Callahan and Gene Callahan Sr. of Houma; one sister, Mona C. Leonard and husband, Larry, of Houma; two grandchildren, Josie Lynn Eschete and Jace Michael Eschete. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Cat" Callahan; one brother, Adam "Papoose" Callahan; and his grandparents, William and Adele Callahan, and Clarence Scott Sr. and Ella Domangue Scott. He was a self-employed fisherman and was a member of the Bald Hill Hunting Club in Hazelhurst, Miss.
