Wanda Canafax

Wanda Robertson Canafax, 73, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Friday, December 31, 2010 at 9:40 a.m. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until service time Monday, January 3, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church of Bayou Blue in Gray, LA, with religious service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by Joseph Douglas Canafax; Two daughters: Gina Grace Gauthier and Terri Canafax Matherne and husband and Samuel Joseph Matherne; Two sons: Michael Denis Gauthier, Jr., and wife Debra Chiasson Gauthier and James Douglas Canafax and wife Angel Scott Canafax; One brother: Duell J. Robertson; Five grandchildren: Jake Michael Fabre, Matthew James Matherne, Cori Anna Matherne, Jace Douglas Canafax and Cade Joeph Canafax; Life-long friend: Beverly LeBoeuf Upchurch and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine and Corrine Sear Robertson; Four brothers: Norris, Ashby, Farrel and Enoch Robertson; Two sisters: Molly Robertson Boudreaux and Grace Robertson Thibodaux. Wanda enjoyed spending time with her loving family who surrounded her through her life and most of all loved her grandchildren with all her heart.
