Gilbert "Gilbo" Mark Porche, 58, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Sunday, December 19, 2010. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 8:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial at Matherne Cemetery. He is survived by Wife of 38 years: Theresa Landry Porche Sons: Gilbert "Buster" Porche, II and wife Sarah, Terry "Digger" Porche and fiance' Naomi Voisin Daughter: Tammy Porche and fiance' Timothy Pulley; Grandchildren: Harlie, Camryn, Karlie, William, Darcie, Mara, Landon "Pete", Georgiana and Colton Sisters: Darlene Bergeron and Faith Boudreaux; and Uncle: Earl Savoie and wife Morine. He was preceded in death by Parents: Dewey John "Pete" Porche and Georgia Savoie Porche; Grandparents: Gabriel Joseph and Gracious Martin Savoie and Robert and Marie Hebert Porche; Sister: Pomela A. Porche; and Brother: Dewey John "Sonny" Porche, Jr. Gilbo was a member of Unity Lodge #267, he was a member of The Scottish Rite, Jerusalem Temple, New Orleans, Louisiana. He was past president of the Houma Shrine Club and past Captain of the Houma motorcycle escort unit. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends
