Charles Herbert Jordan, 86, passed away Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family, August 5, 2017 at 10:11PM. He was a native of Denver, CO and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin after visitation at St. Eloi Catholic Church at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in St. Frances De Sales Cemetery #2.   Charles is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Barbara Duplantis Jordan; Sons, Charles William Jordan Sr of Euless, TX, and Reese Jay Jordan of Denver, CO; Daughter, Kristi Kay Jordan Wells and husband David of Brighton, CO; Grandchildren, Jennifer Kay Jordan Quinonez, Kelli Jo Jordan, Samantha Lynn Jordan, Charles William Jordan Jr., Audrey Marie Jordan, Katie Ann Jordan; and ten Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Walter William Jordan and Lucille Malcom Jordan; and Sister, Carol Lee Jordan. Charles was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force. He was a General Insurance Adjuster specializing in Business Interruption Claims for sixty-five years; retiring this past October. He was an avid hunter, returning each year to Colorado for Elk season; enjoying the hunting season with life-long friends for fifty years. He also loved to fish, golf, wood working and boating. He spent many hours in his workshop creating custom pieces for his home. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to a charity of choice. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Jordan Family.
