Stella Benoit Marcel, 72, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial: St. Elie Cemetery, Chauvin, LA. She is survived by her, Daughter, Veronica Marcel Lirette and husband, Wayne; Sons, Elmer,Jr. and wife, Samantha, Kirt and wife Carolyn, Patrick, Joseph, Donald and wife, Tammy, Scott and Brent Marcel; Sisters, Merlene LeBouef and Betty Tillman; Grandchildren, Candice Lirette Moon and husband, Rodney, Nikki Lirette Scott and husband, Brandon, Aaron Marcel, Kirby, Kirtis, Caralynn, Caralinna Marcel, Katelian Trahan, Baylee Marcel, Chase and Gabriele Marcel, Helena and Audrey Marcel; great-grandchildren, Quentin, Savannah, Reagan Moon, Aubrie and Liam Scott. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Elmer Joseph Marcel; parents, Harold Joseph Benoit and Mable Guy Benoit; Sister, Mable Marcel. She was Catholic. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and computer games. Also was a member of the Ward 7 Citizen Club.
